Color Theory for Makeup Artists

Color Theory for Makeup Artists is tough. So for the last nine months I have been working on a secret “project”. This is the Flesh Tone Color Wheel. (click link to purchase)
As an educator, I have been working with Color Theory since 2010. The more I work with it, the deeper my understanding has become. The way I utilize it as an artist has increased exponentially since I started teaching it, and now almost everything I do revolves around it. (I’m obsessed!) However I am very aware of the huge gap between what we see in traditional color theory on a color wheel and SKIN. It is a tough leap for students and even established artists to go from the rules of color to actual skin tone.
I needed a tool that would bridge that gap. A way to show artists what undertone looks like in skin, a way to show correction, highlight, shadow, and enhancement in actual skin colors.
Each color on the Flesh Tone Color Wheel was created with actual makeup so that they represent actual skin tones and available shades. It took me months to create these colors and then to find someone who could digitally re-create them. This has been a labor of love and I know it will be a great tool for makeup artists.

The Flesh Tone Color Wheel is available at the studio for $18. You may order via Paypal for $20 from this link (shipping is included). Or you can mail your address to info@makeuptrainingacademy.com. You will receive an invoice via email.
I have two color theory classes that will debut in July.
Thank you for your love and support! Please share this and help me spread the word. Humbly your color servant….Terri.
